A short retrospective documentary from Hafıza Merkezi – an NGO aiming “to uncover the truth concerning past violations of human rights, strengthen the collective memory about those violations, and support survivors in their pursuit of justice.”
The documentary reminds the audience what happened for LGBTI+ rights in 6 years in Turkey by focusing on the Pride Parades. It shows the Pride Parades between 2013 and 2019 allowing the audience to make a comparison as well as underlining the resilience of the LGBTI+ movement.
This short documentary represents the first video of in their series on “Shrinking democratic space in Turkey”.
